[Students] Our success depends on our talented and passionate staff, including the students and volunteers on our team. We are always looking for individuals interested in helping us deliver exciting, hands-on experiences for learners of all ages.

    Come work at The Lawrence Hall of Science as an Education Facilitator! Work with learners of all ages. Make science fun with hands-on experiences. Collaborate with a supportive team. Learn about science communication. Inspire creativity & curiosity. Work at UC Berkeley’s only public science center. Our job is to do science interactively and playfully, but we take our work seriously.

[Teen Volunteers] Teens entering 9th grade and above can volunteer for the summer at the Hall. They can help promote science and math learning by engaging visitors in hands-on science and math activities.

[Adult Volunteers] We’re always looking for science-lovers to help with hands-on activities at our special events, deliver interactive science demos, present at our Science On a Sphere (SOS)® exhibit, assist in our education workshops, and more.

Development Officer

Plans, schedules, and implements annual fundraising projects and programs, including the Annual Fund, online giving opportunities such as The BIG GIVE and crowdfunding campaigns, as well as an annual calendar of donor cultivation and solicitation events. Ensures that predetermined fundraising goals are met. Supports the Director and Deputy Director in stewardship of major gifts and ongoing donor relations. Coordinates activities closely with Lawrence Hall of Science Membership and Marketing Departments to maximize engagement across various constituent groups, identify and engage potential donors, and increase the base of support for Lawrence Hall of Science.

Program Manager

The Learning Design Group at the Lawrence Hall of Science develops, disseminates, and implements innovative programs promoting deep and equitable science learning for students grades TK-8. This position within The Learning Design Group involves managing programs and projects that relate to instructional materials research, design, and implementation.
