An Update from The Lawrence at Home

While the past year has been filled with challenges, we’re thankful we got to explore a new way of sharing science virtually, and we’re grateful for all the lessons we learned in the process.

Take a look at some of our favorite moments from The Lawrence at Home.

A Message from Our Director

I’m writing to you both as the Director of The Lawrence Hall of Science and also the parent of two kids who are looking for things to do while they are stuck at home.

The Lawrence is closed right now to help keep our community healthy, but I’m here to remind you that fun and learning can happen everywhere, even at home! All we need is you!

Welcome to The Lawrence at Home! On this site we will be sharing fun things for you to do at home or outdoors. Kids and families can look forward to exploring, investigating, discovering and inventing through DIY projects, meeting animal friends, science demonstrations and shows, astronomy and nature walks – PLUS, ways for parents to connect with each other and us.

Bookmark this website for ongoing programs and activities, and watch our social media for scheduled events. See you online!

The Science of COVID-19

Science at Cal and The Lawrence Hall of Science have put together online resources to support access to COVID-19 information and online learning opportunities for youth and families during this crisis. We are pleased to share them with you, along with the news that The Lawrence is now the home of Science at Cal. We’re looking forward to collaborating closely together to share the work that UC Berkeley science, technology, engineering and mathematics researchers are conducting.
