Order Processing
- Your credit card statement will show a charge from the UCB LHS Business Office.
- We make every effort to process and ship orders as quickly as possible. Please allow 2-3 business days for us to process and ship your order. Air shipments will be sent the next business day. You will be contacted by email in the event of a delay.
Shipping
- Orders normally ship from the Lawrence Hall of Science
within 2-3 business days of receipt. You will be notified by email when your order
is shipped. Please allow up to 6 business days from the date of shipment for packages arriving by UPS Ground
service or through the US Postal Service. 2nd Day Air orders will arrive 2 business
days after the day the order is shipped. Please note that UPS does not deliver on
Saturdays or to PO Boxes or FPO/APO.
- All orders placed for delivery within the contiguous United States will be shipped
UPS Ground or, if requested, UPS 2nd Day Air. All UPS orders will include a tracking
number with your email shipping notification.

- PO Boxes & FPO/APO: These orders are shipped through the US Postal Service (Ground rate).
- Alaska & Hawaii: Unless otherwise specified, orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii are shipped through the US Postal Service (ground rate).
- International Orders: Please specify Ground or Air on the order form and we will contact you with a quote for shipping. You order will be shipped when we receive your confirmation of the shipping cost.
- In-Store Pick Up: For your convenience we offer in-store pick up at the Lawrence Hall of Science. Please select "in-store pick up" under shipping on the order form. You will be contacted by phone or email when your order is ready for pick up.
Return Policy
- Books: The Lawrence Hall of Science can only accept returns of books in cases of damage or an error on our part. To return items, please call us at 510-642-7771
so that we can issue a UPS call tag.
- Non-Book Merchandise: All other items can be returned within 30 days of purchase for any reason. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase please return the item in its original packaging and in salable condition. Indicate the reason for your return and enclose your packing slip. Shipping charges are non-refundable. In case of damaged merchandise please contact us immediately.
