Note: If you are no longer an LHS employee, please ask your supervisor to let
HR know thaat you are no longer working at the Hall. HR will update your record in the database, and the
following Monday you will be removed from the lhsallstaff mailing list.
The all staff list (lhsallstaff@lists.berkeley.edu) is an official mailing list for important announcements for all LHS employees. The lhsallstaff email list is required for all current LHS employees. The all staff list is based on the LHS Staff Directory. Once a new employee enters their email address into the LHS Staff Directory, they will be added to this list.
To add your email and update other information in the LHS Directory, log into eLHS from the staff corner web page at http://www.lhs.berkeley.edu/staff/, and click the "Employee Directory Update" link.
In addition to adding your email address, you can update the Staff Directory with other information, such as room number and phone number. You can also sign up for the optional bblhsstaff mailing list (see below).
To be removed from the Directory and from the All Staff mailing list for someone no longer employed at LHS, the former supervisor can inform LHS Human Resources so that the employee record can be updated in the database. They will then be removed from the Directory and from the lhsallstaff mailing list.
LHS "Bulletin Board" list:
bblhsstaff@lists.berkeley.edu
The bulletin board list (bblhsstaff@lists.berkeley.edu) is a casual list, for informal announcements such as garage sales, community events, and other non-work related announcements.
On the LHS Directory update page, scroll to the bottom and check the "Optional Mailing List" check box to indicate that you would like to subscribe to the bulletin board list. Uncheck the box to unsubscribe from the bulletin board list.
LHS Local Staff list:

This list is for messages of importance or interest only to employees physically located at LHS. Information about parking, local events, lost keys, and other work-related messages of local interest can be posted to this list.
For this local staff mailing list, which is currently a majordomo mailing list, employees subscribe and unsubscribe themselves. You do this through the campus site for mailing lists at:
http://lists.berkeley.edu
Alternatively, you can send an email message to majordomo@lists.berkeley.edu with the appropriate command in the body of the message:
subscribe lhslocalstaff
OR
unsubscribe lhslocalstaff
There is also a link to the site for managing your mailing lists on the calmail home page at:
http://calmail.berkeley.edu On this page, click on the link "Manage Your Mailing Lists".
On the "Manage Your Mailing Lists" page you sign in with your email password.
Choose "Subscribe to Majordomo List". The name of the mailing list is lhslocalstaff. You do not need to enter the domain information, that is the "@lists.berkeley.edu" part of the mailing list address.
New employees set up their email account by going to http://calmail.berkeley.edu and
clicking on the Berkeley Internet Link. A CalNetID will be needed
to do this. Either Graham Patterson or Heather Preabt in Technical
Services can set up a CalNetID for new employees.
