Quality Resources for your group or classroom

After participating in a workshop, you can check out an AfterSchool KidzScience™ kit and do quality science activities with children in grades 3–5. Twelve different kits are available on science topics such as magnets, bubbles, and alternative energy. The sessions are designed for use in afterschool settings, but can also be used in classrooms.

$15 per kit check-out*

*This includes consumable materials required for the activities. Only one kit may be checked out at a time. Additional fees may apply for kits returned late or with missing/damaged materials.

AfterSchool KidzScience™ kits include everything you need to do science with your group.

• Handbook: In-depth instructions and step-by-step guide for running the activity, including background information, glossary, tips on using materials, and more.


• Session Guides: A quick reference with step-by-step instructions and other support for running the activity.


• Kit Materials: Materials needed to run the activity, including consumables (does not include basic supplies such as scissors).
• Question Cards: Cards with compelling pictures and interesting information, used to engage children in the activity.


• Video Clips: A DVD of short clips (under 5 minutes) that provide support for running the activities easily and effectively.
