Great minds don’t think alike
We need innovators to generate breakthrough solutions to the challenges facing the world now and in the future. Communities like Vallejo represent a tremendous pool of talented young people who can become the scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs of tomorrow, but they need access to programs today that inspire and prepare them for those fields. The Inventor’s Lab was opened to help do that. It is part of an initiative of the Lawrence Hall of Science that is funded by the Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation.

Our community is key to helping the Inventor’s Lab continue. We need your support to keep the Inventor’s Lab open and accessible for all community members.

Your Support Matters

It costs approximately $750 a day to keep the Inventor’s Lab open. To ensure that the programs are affordable for all, only a small portion of the cost is passed on to participants through fees. Tax deductible donations from individuals and the support of corporations and foundations provide the additional $200,000 we need each year to continue.

Together we envision a world where everyone has access to high quality science and math education, both in and outside of school. As with most things, it takes a village to make that happen.

  • $500 brings a workshop to two classrooms at a local school.
  • $900 pays for a family science night at a local school or community center.
  • $1,200 supports a PD workshop at a school or a local internship.
  • $5,750 brings 10 science workshops or assembly programs to your school district.
  • $6,000 provides a weekly preschool program for local families for 8 weeks.
  • $15,000 supports a teen internship program for a summer.
