What's the Big Deal with nanoscience?

Come join other high school students to learn more about this exciting and emerging field. Through hands-on laboratory investigations and lively discussions of the latest developments in nanoscience technology we'll investigate things that are less than 100 nanometers in size (about 1/100 the diameter of a human hair).

How do you build something with parts that small? Tweezers are too big, not to mention your fingers. How do you see and test the materials you are using?

Students will have a chance to think about these issues and find their own solutions as they work in teams to:

All this takes place on the UC Berkeley Campus and is complemented by tours of labs and interactions with researchers from UC Berkeley who are working on the cutting edge of this field.

Join us and make your own mark on the smallest technology around.
