Our marshland fieldtrip was absolutely fabulous - because the kids were so well prepared. A parent researched the birds they might see and got big beautiful pictures off of the internet. These were posted on the board and the students could see and get familiar with them. The fewer number of birds actually worked well - it took a while before their curiousity was rewarded by a bird. The pacing & simplicity of the environment really worked!
