Important Information for All Schools Regarding the 2009
Northern California Western Nevada Region,
National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium
The Northern California Western Nevada Region serves all high school students, including public schools, private and parochial schools and home schooled, in the 25 California counties from Fresno to the Oregon border and all of Northwestern Nevada.
You are invited to participate with an adult chaperone and up to three students in the 2009 Regional Symposium
March 12-14, 2009Schools DO NOT need to have a student presenter to participate in the symposium!

The symposium is a three-day experience for high school students, who are interested in the sciences, technology, engineering and/or mathematics.
They will hear presentations by high school students who have completed research and are in competition for scholarships.
In addition to the student presentations, the participants will interact informally with other students, hear about the work of university faculty and researchers, visit laboratory and research facilities, and participate in round table break-out discussions with university faculty and students.

You will be contacted and sent further information about the program and a place will be reserved for you pending your final reservation arrangements.
The Preliminary Indication of Interest Form includes instructions for how it is to be submitted.
You are not committing yourself, your students or your school by submitting this form. You are merely indicating an interest in learning more and the possibility that you would like to attend with a group.
The Registration Form, which will be sent to you upon receipt of your Indication of Interest, will be the one you send to reserve your hotel, food and participation.
Lodging, meals, and symposium registration will be provided all participants:
Lodging – Best Western Inn and Suites, Seaside, CA, March 14 and 15
Meals and Activities – The Conference and Events Center, CSUMB
ALL SCHOOLS ARE INVITED TO BRING ONE ADULT AND UP TO THREE STUDENTS
FOR A SINGLE GROUP REGISTRATION FEE OF $100

will be charges as follows:)
Two nights hotel, all activities and meals - $250
One night hotel, all activities and meals involved - $150
Commuting Participants, full symposium, all meals and activities -$100
Commuting Participants, one day, all activities and meals involved - $50
