The 2010 Northern California Western Nevada
Jr. Science and Humanities Symposium
March 18-20,
University of Nevada, Reno
A three-day event, which is held annually on a university campus, provides high school students an opportunity to:
- Hear nationally renowned scientists speak on their work
- Visit university, corporate and government research facilities
- Meet informally with university students and research scientists
- Talk with peers who have the same interests
- Hear research presentations by other students
- All students participate in all symposium activities
- Student who wish to present their research will do so to an audience of high school students and teachers, and a panel of judges. Winners will receive regional and national scholarships and attend the National Jr. Science and Humanity Symposium.
- The research offices of the Army, Navy, and Air Force through contract with the Academy of Applied Science (National Jr. Science and Humanities Symposium)
- Lawrence Hall of Science at the University of California, Berkeley
- University of California, Davis
- University of Nevada, Reno
- California State University, Monterey Bay
- Washoe County School District. and
- Nevada Science Fair, Inc.
