Whatever Happened to Torosaurus?

Friday, September 23, 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Donors making annual gifts of support to the Hall at the $250 and above level are invited to this fun and educational event that has something for every science lover in the family.

UC Vertebrate Paleontologist Mark Goodwin will talk about exciting new developments in paleontology that are radically changing what we know about dinosaurs. Get the inside scoop on what makes these giants so fascinating to kids and scientists alike!

While adults and children ages 9 and up enjoy the presentation, younger scientists can experience fun activities designed to teach them more about dinosaurs.  Afterward, the exhibits will be open for further explorations.

Everything we do, from outreach in schools, to presenting major exhibits, is possible because of the generosity of our donors.  If you would like to become a donor and receive invitations to fun and educational events like these while providing important support for science education, please make a gift today or call the development office at 510-642-9768.  We'll make sure you're on the list!

Light Speed: X-Rays, Molecular Movies, and Advances in Revealing the Unseen

Last fall we were pleased to present Professor of Physics Roger Falcone who discussed how powerful beams of X-ray light are currently being used for exciting new research in energy technologies, medicine, and many other areas of science at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.  Guests of the Hall and the UC Physics Department enjoyed a reception and had the opportunity to meet and speak with Roger about his groundbreaking research.
