Dove

The dove, what words come to people's mind when the word is mentioned. To me, when I hear the word dove, words such as beautiful, elegant, and pride come into my thoughts. These words show physical characteristics of the dove and its role in our community today. The dove is the symbol of peace for our world. It is a white bird that soars with pride in our skies. When the dove flies it looks like a cloud moving through the sky.

The dove is a small bird that is closely related to the pigeon. It has soft feathers that are like the color of fresh snow. Doves' skin is extremely sensitive. They mainly feed on seeds. Doves are not very active birds. They may perch on a branch all day and be happy. When I was observing the dove it looked around a lot to see what was going on around him. He looked happy while receiving a lot of attention. In his cage were water to drink, foods consisting of grains, and some vitamins to help the dove digest its food because it is not very good at digesting its food.

The dove is one of my favorite animals because it is so quiet and elegant. It seems to be happy wherever it is. The dove is an endangered species though. These magnificent birds should not be killed for human necessities They should remain free and out in the wild. The dove shows off its beauty by flying through the skies and is proud to be our world's symbol of peace.
