On May 9, 2008 we held our Global Groove celebration drawing on our forward thinking and imaginative tradition with a blend of science, art, and fun—including the debut of our newest installation Science On a Sphere.

The Lawrence Hall of Science (LHS) is the public science center of the University of California, Berkeley and an innovative leader in the field of science and mathematics education.
To advance interest, skills, and knowledge we:
- Engage students and their families in exciting science and mathematics at LHS as well as in their classrooms, schools, and communities.
- Design and disseminate effective instructional materials and exhibits.
- Create distinctive learning and leadership opportunities for educators.
LHS is committed to serving all, especially those with limited access to science and mathematics.
